It’s late in the afternoon of the day AFTER the brisket episode. The ‘one about the brisket’ … that story that hasn’t quite left my mind!
The trays and mess will take a couple of days to clear away, all kidding aside. I have a tiny kitchen, limited energy, and no demands that I get it done immediately! All facts surrounding my boundaries – real life ones and I can accommodate quite easily! They’ll get done when they get done. Boy! What freedom there is in that!
I did have a blast doing the cooking. Better than that tho, was the time I got to spend on the phone with my ‘big brother’/cousin in Hagersville. As a child, it’s the only place I ever felt at home, safe, and as a part of a family. I had the delight of having a Zoom call with his folks the day before, and it truly was a gift to see them ‘live and in colour’….there ARE times I thank technology!
Tonite was supposed to be beef brisket…NO WAY….and I did take out salmon, but that doesn’t turn my crank either. Oooohhhhh….I have a GLUTEN FREE PIZZA in my new freezer! I have anchovies even – to add to it! Easy Peasy dinner – in front of the telly! Crocheting – AFTER wiping my fingers of course!
What a delight this has been – to ‘slip into my office’ randomly throughout today, and craft a couple of posts to put up on this site. Taking my time proofreading (don’t tell me if I missed anything!), with my treasures and talismans all close at hand.
